This article will explain a solution when an error occurs during installation of InScribe. The error states, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." The error dialog allows you to browse to InScribeSetup.msi. Unfortunately, even if that program is found, it will respond with an error that the version does not match correctly. Please see below for what the error will look like:

This is an error that occurs when the program attempts to uninstall a previous version but cannot find the actual program anymore. This could occur because the program was deleted from the hard drive rather than removed through Add / Remove Programs or the Installer Application. This could also occur if malware or an Anti-virus program removes components of the program from the hard drive.
In order to resolve this issue, you will need to forcibly remove this item from the list of installed programs.
1. Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility located at the bottom of this article. (Note: If you are running a 64 bit version of windows the utility will not work, please contact the Emdat Help Desk for assistance)
2. Install the utility and run it.
3. Select the version of InScribe that is no longer on the hard drive. See the picture below for an example:

4. Click Remove and click OK on the message warning you that this change is permanent.
5. Attempt the installation procedure again and it complete as normal.
