Cover Letter Or Envelope Do Not Appear Available For A Transcription

In order for the option of a cover letter or envelope (Icon next to record in InQuiry) to appear, the transcription must have an Associate (Carbon Copy). The CC automatically generates the cover letter and envelope if required for external mailing.  If the associate being copied is an internal associate (user at your facility on Emdat) or an autofax associate (associate that receives the copy via fax), then the cover letter and envelope icon will not show (since it is not needed for internal routing or auto-fax).  In addition, the document type and user setting must have "Enable Cover Letter" and "Enable Envelope" checked for the icons to show up in InQuiry.  The graphic below shows the location of these settings for both document type and user.  maintenance access is required to edit these options.
